David Rockwell has been developing a body of work inspired by the organic geometries found in the natural and scientific world. While painting abstract works based on particle tracks - bubble chamber diagrams used by physicists to study the collisions of subatomic particles - the simple beauty of the curves and spirals led him back to the figure, seeking parallels in the human form and the activation of space implied in every pose. Opening Reception: Thu, Apr 19, 6-9pm. Meet the Artist at Opening Reception Artist Talk and Intro: 7:30pm.
